Join Mercure Canberra on a day trip to experience life on a working Truffle Farm at Macenmist Truffle Farm.
This day trip is a full-day experience and includes return transportation from Mercure Canberra to the Macenmist Truffle Farm, which is located in the idyllic countryside near Bredbo. Macenmist is a working truffle farm where you will participate in a truffle hunt with the truffle dogs, followed by a true paddock to plate dining experience with a 3-course lunch in which you can taste the truffles produced at the farm. You will also enjoy a selection of wines provided by Mercure Canberra. Finish your experience with the opportunity to purchase truffles directly from the farm, as well as a range of local produce from the area.
Experience details:
- 8:45am: Meet in the lobby of Mercure Canberra and enjoy a coffee or cup of tea and a bacon roll on arrival
- 9:15am: Depart Mercure Canberra via coach
- 10:30am: Arrive at Macenmist Truffle Farm
- 10:30am – 1:00pm: Experience farm life on a truffle hunt and learn about producing this world-famous ingredient. You will have the chance to interact with the producers, truffle dogs and other animals on this lively farm
- 1:00pm – 3:00pm: Enjoy a 3-course lunch featuring the farms own truffles plus a selection of wines. Time will be allocated for purchasing local produce after lunch, and you will depart the Truffle farm at 3:00pm, followed by a 30-minute stop at Bredbo Christmas Barn, before we head back to Mercure Canberra.
- 4:30pm: Arrive at Mercure Canberra, where this experience concludes
- Enjoy a drink on the house upon your return to the hotel.

- Please note that Macenmist Truffle Farm is located in the snowy mountain region of NSW and the experience takes place mid-winter and includes outdoor activities. To make your experience more comfortable, please wear appropriate winter outdoor attire, including coat, hat, gloves, scarf and wet weather gear. Enclosed flat shoes are a must to attend. Macenmist Truffle Farm is inaccessible by coach in times of excessive rain. If the event is cancelled due to extreme weather, alternate dates and/or refunds will be supplied.
