Accor Plus Terms and Conditions
Program Services, Membership Card and Identification:
Accor Plus (formerly known as Accor Advantage Plus) membership program operates in accordance with these terms and conditions (“Terms”). The Accor Plus membership card (“Card”) is the property of AAPC Singapore Pte Limited (“AAPC”). The Card must be signed by you. The privileges of membership will only be granted on presentation of a valid Card signed by you. When making a reservation you must identify yourself as an Accor Plus member. Only members of Accor’s global loyalty program, may be Accor Plus members. If you were not a Le Club Accorhotels member but have applied to join, your Accor Plus membership application will be processed after your Le Club Accorhotels membership has been confirmed. Terms and conditions relating to Le Club Accorhotels can be found at www.accorhotels.com/gb/leclub/index.shtml. Your Valid Card must be presented to the hotel at check-in and check-out and at the restaurant to obtain your dining privileges.
Dining privileges for Accor Plus members are available for breakfast (except at resorts in Australia), lunch and dinner at participating Sofitel, Pullman, MGallery, Quay West, The Sebel, Grand Mercure, Novotel, Mercure, ibis, ibis Styles and all seasons hotels in the Asia Pacific region on presentation of the Card. It is not valid at ibis Budget or Formule 1 Hotels. If the main hotel restaurant is closed for lunch, the standard Accor Plus dining discount is available on food purchased from the bar snack menu during the lunch period. When a member dines alone the member will receive a 25% discount on food, when a member and one other person dine a 50% discount on food applies, when three people dine the discount will be 33% and when four people dine the discount will be 25% and so on. In Australia, New Zealand and Fiji there is no limit to the number of Cards that can be used per table for dining providing the discount does not exceed 50%. A maximum of one membership card may be used per table for dining in Asia. The Card is not valid for room service, beverages, mini-bar, selections from the kids’ menus, takeaway or pool bar. In Asia only, members also receive a 15% discount on beverages upon presenting the Card. Across Asia Pacific, dining privileges are not available on national public holidays or special event days (as determined by each participating hotel) including but not limited to, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Christmas Eve & Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve & New Year’s Day, Chinese New Year’s Eve & Chinese New Year’s Day, Melbourne Cup Day and Valentine’s Eve & Valentine’s Day. Dining privileges may vary at selected restaurants from time to time as determined by the hotel. Any exceptions to the dining privileges are shown on the Participating Hotel Guide at www.accorplus.com. In the Philippines only, the member recognizes that the Accor Plus Membership Card is intended to promote the goods and services of the Participating Hotels subject to the “No Double Discount” policy of Republic Act No. 9994 and Republic Act No. 9442. Additionally, in the Philippines only, as mandated by law, senior citizens and PWDs may avail of either the 20% discount under Republic Act No. 9994 and Republic Act No. 9442 respectively, or the dining discounts and privileges under their membership card, whichever is higher and more favourable.
Accor Plus members will receive the members’ rate, being a 10% discount from the best unrestricted rate available at the time of reservation at participating Sofitel, Pullman, MGallery, Quay West, The Sebel, Grand Mercure, Novotel, Mercure, ibis, ibis Styles and all seasons hotels in Asia Pacific. At ibis Budget and Formule 1 Hotels in Australia and New Zealand, all Accor Plus members will receive a 10% discount from the best rate of the day available at the time of reservation (“Members’ Rate”). The Members’ Rate is available on any room type and is offered on a last room availability basis (that is, if the hotel has a room available you are guaranteed a room at the Members’ Rate for that day). Participating hotels offer Accor Plus members a 10% discount on special packages and promotions advertised directly by the participating hotel and booked directly with the hotel or Accor Reservation Services, but not in relation to any offers made via third parties (such as travel agents and other online travel websites) and not including value- add components from third parties. Restrictions and limitations apply and these may be subject to an allocation of rooms on a particular night, so reservations are essential. Members can book up to 2 rooms on their Members’ Rate providing the member is staying in one of the rooms and the dates of stay for the other room are the same as the dates of stay for the 1st room and that the member personally settles the final account for both rooms. The Member’s valid Card must be presented at the time of check-in for all stays. Minimum length of stay may apply at some participating hotels. Accor Plus stays will attract Le Club Accorhotels points in accordance with the terms and conditions of Le Club Accorhotels, but do not attract Frequent Flyer points or Air Miles directly, unless the Accor Plus member has selected this option on www.accorhotels.com/leclub in the Profile section. Stay Plus Benefit:
Your Accor Plus membership will include the Stay Plus benefit which entitles the member to one complimentary night’s accommodation (“Stay Plus “) which is valid across the Asia Pacific region at participating hotels. Use of Stay Plus is limited to an allocated number of rooms per night per participating hotel. Rooms in a participating hotel in excess of this allocation may not be available to Stay Plus holders. Room allocations fill quickly during special event periods, school holidays, public holidays and weekends and no guarantee can be given that an allocated room will be available at a particular participating hotel or for the days requested. The Stay Plus benefit may be used at participating apartment style hotels if the member pays an additional supplement. In addition a minimum length of stay may apply at some participating apartment style hotels. Some hotels may also offer members an opportunity to upgrade their stay by using their Stay Plus and paying an additional supplement. Reservations using Stay Plus are essential and must be made via the Accor Plus members’ website at www.accorplus.com or through Accor Reservation Services. Any booking made via Accor Reservation Services using Stay Plus in Asia will incur a US$10 booking fee and in Pacific will incur an AU$20 booking fee. Your Stay Plus benefit is recorded on your Card, which must be presented at check-in. The Stay Plus benefit is valid for a standard room at participating Sofitel, Pullman, MGallery, Quay West, The Sebel, Grand Mercure, Novotel, Mercure, ibis, ibis Styles and all seasons hotels. It is not valid for ibis Budget or Formule 1 Hotels. The Stay Plus benefit is valid for twelve (12) months from the date your Accor Plus membership commences and redeemable at participating hotels only. A maximum of one Stay Plus may be used per stay (a stay being consecutive nights in the same hotel). Multiple bookings for the same Stay Plus must not be made or held and may result in such bookings being cancelled prior to the stay, or after check-in the second or subsequent Stay Plus bookings for the same stay may be charged at the Members’ Rate. When making a reservation using Stay Plus, you must identify yourself as a current Accor Plus member and provide a credit card to secure the booking. All reservations using Stay Plus must be guaranteed with a credit card that is valid at the date of the start of your stay, unless otherwise specified. No cancellation charge applies if your reservation is cancelled prior to
18.00 (local time) up to 1 day prior to arrival. Beyond that time, at the election of the hotel booked, the first night will be charged at the Members’ Rate for that night or the Stay Plus benefit will be forfeited. The Stay Plus benefit is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
Member for a Day Certificate:
The “Member for a Day” certificate (“MFD Certificate”) entitles the holder to receive all Accor Plus membership benefits, except the Stay Plus benefit. A maximum of one MFD Certificate may be used per stay. The Member for a Day will not earn Le Club Accorhotels points for a stay using the MFD Certificate. Refer to the MFD Certificate for conditions of use. A maximum of up to three MFD Certificates will be allocated per membership year. The MFD certificates can be obtained by applying on the members’ website. MFD Certificates cannot be exchanged for cash and are valid until the expiry date shown on the MFD Certificate.
There may be additional certificates included in your membership kit. Benefits attached to additional certificates vary; please refer to the conditions of use as stated on the certificates. Additional certificates cannot be exchanged for cash.
Best Unrestricted Rate and Best Rate of the Day:
Best Unrestricted Rate and Best Rate of the Day refer to the best publicly available rate at a participating hotel as at the time of booking, where no cancellation charge applies prior to 18:00 (local time), up to 1 day prior to arrival. Beyond that time, the first night will be charged. All reservations must be
guaranteed with a credit card valid at the date of the start of the stay, unless otherwise specified. This rate can change on a daily basis.
Lost or Stolen Cards and Certificates:
Please promptly report lost or stolen Cards and Certificates to Member Services. A replacement fee will be charged for a replacement Card. Lost or stolen Certificates cannot be replaced.
Period of Validity:
Your Accor Plus membership is valid for one year until the last day of the month shown as the expiry date on your Card. Your Card is for your personal use only. Accor Plus membership is not transferable; doing so will result in termination of your Accor Plus membership.
Cancellation and Termination:
A member has the right to terminate their membership agreement for any reason within 10 business days from the first business day after the day on which the member received these Terms for Accor Plus membership. In the case of mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan only, the member is required to contact Accor Plus Member Services to cancel their membership within this same 10 business day period. If the Card has not been signed and the benefits have not been used, (including no certificates having been used), then membership will be cancelled and a refund obtained by returning the Card and any certificates within 10 business days from the date the Accor Plus membership was received. Once the membership is confirmed as being unused, a refund will be applied. After this period, membership is not refundable. Accor Plus membership is for a minimum duration of one (1) year and cannot be terminated by you unless otherwise expressly permitted in these terms and conditions. If the Accor Plus membership expires, you will no longer benefit from the advantages related to the Card. As your Le Club Accorhotels membership is separate from your Accor Plus membership, your Le Club Accorhotels membership does not expire and your status will be defined according to the level of activity during the 365 days prior to the expiry or renewal date of your Accor Plus membership. If you do not renew your Accor Plus membership, you should contact Accor Plus Member Services to receive a Le Club Accorhotels card in order to redeem your balance of Le Club Accorhotels points and/or continue earning points when staying in participating Accor hotels worldwide, in accordance with the then applicable terms of the Le Club Accorhotels program, and to find out your Le Club Accorhotels status.
Accor Plus reserves the right to terminate a membership immediately in the case of a member:
(a) failing to pay an account with any one of the participating hotels where the amount is not in dispute;
(b) engaging in gross misconduct or in such manner that is reasonably offensive or inappropriate to Accor Plus and Accor Hotels employees and guests of a participating hotel and having regard to and respect for local laws, customs and observances; or
(c) engaging in criminal conduct whilst a guest of or on the premises of a participating hotel as criminal conduct is defined for the jurisdiction within which the offence occurred.
Limitations of Liability:
Nothing in these Terms excludes, limits, modifies or restricts any right or remedy, or any guarantee, warranty or other term or condition implied or imposed by any legislation which cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. This may include consumer laws and regulations which contains guarantees that protect the purchasers of goods and services in certain circumstances. Subject to any statutory right that cannot be excluded or limited, and to the maximum extent permitted by law, the total aggregate liability of AAPC and its respective affiliates and Participating Hotels, to each member whether arising in contract or in tort or under statute or otherwise shall not exceed, in the case of a claim in relation to goods, the replacement of the goods or the supply of equivalent goods, or in the case of services, the supplying of the services again or the payment of the costs of having the services supplied again.
In addition to the restrictions stated elsewhere in these Terms, Accor Plus discount privileges may not be used in conjunction with or as a discount on corporate rates, preferential discounts, or conference rates. Unauthorized advertising, lending, distribution or sale in part or whole of the membership and membership benefits is not permitted without the written permission of AAPC. A breach of this restriction will result in the immediate cancellation of the membership with no refund and AAPC on its own behalf and on behalf of its affiliates (including the entity from which the membership was purchased) reserves its rights to pursue additional compensation for damages.
Goods and Services Tax:
All prices quoted to you on which discounts will be calculated are inclusive of any GST, VAT or similar tax if applicable unless otherwise stated.
Conditions Subject to Change:
AAPC reserves the right to vary the terms and conditions of membership at any time subject to giving reasonable prior notice to members. Such notice will be given either by email or post and will be updated on the Accor Plus website www.accorplus.com. If you do not agree with the variation, if required by applicable law, you may terminate your Accor Plus membership by written notice to us, within 10 business days of receiving that notice. If you terminate your membership as a result of this, you will be entitled to a pro-rata refund of your membership fee.
Signature on or use of your Card constitutes acceptance of the Terms listed above.
